The group specializing in hearing aids posted very good results for the first half of 2021. Sales, up 48.5% in local currencies, reached CHF 1,603.8 million and EBITDA increased by 133.1% to stand at CHF406.4 million. These figures are very encouraging as the company has encountered many difficulties related to the impact of the health crisis on supply chains and the global shortage of semiconductors. Innovation remains one of the main drivers of the group, as evidenced by the success of the new range of hearing aids Phonak Paradise or Cochlear implants. In these two segments, competitive pressure is relatively low, and at the same time, the group has implemented initiatives to increase its operational efficiency. The result is a positive evolution of the operating margin as well as encouraging growth prospects.
