IAM Cycling
Kevyn Ista has found his smile again.
After having seriously injured his elbow in a heavy fall during the Tour of the Mediterranean (February 6), the Belgian IAM Cycling rider has returned to racing and is showing himself well already at the Tour of Denmark and most recently at the Tour de lAin.
This means that he is fortuitously coming into good form just in time to be nominated as a rider to watch at the Tour du Limousin.
Ill find several stages that accommodate my strengths as a puncheur. Since July, the legs work like new. It was not easy to find the rhythm of racing after almost five months absence. I have good sensations in my legs now and would love to slam a victory, or at the very least podium in one of the stages.
Though Ista often fills the sometimes unheralded role of water carrier for the Swiss IAM Cycling team, the 28 year old father speaks of his duties without any bitterness.
In every team there are the leaders who can win the races, and the support riders carry the water. This is the rule of the sport and I am not frustrated to work to protect the guys who are most often capable of being at the forefront of the action.
