Already having proved himself a strong teammate this Saturday in the Strade Bianche, Sébastien Reichenbach (23 years) confirmed his good condition during the Roma Maxima race just 24 hours later.
Finishing in front of the Coliseum, the rider from the Valais region in Switzerland arrived with the main group sprinting for second place 40 seconds behind Blel Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale), the solo victor of this Italian semi-classic. After the race and before leaving for the four day Tuscan training camp to be held for the riders who are not participating in the Paris-Nice this week, Marcello Albasini was able to draw on the many positive results IAM Cycling had during these most recent three Italian races:
Though today we missed out on making the breakaway, I am satisfied with the way Marcel Wyss raced and of course also with Sébastien Reichenbachs efforts. He most importantly managed to dig deep enough to stay with the group of leaders. These three Italian races have proved that even our young riders have what it takes to be competitive
