His 46th place on April 9th at the Scheldeprijs is the most recent reminder of his last race. Now Vicente Reynes is back with a smile, without pain and ready to race again finally in the IAM Cycling colors after having had the majority of his season so far derailed by chronic prostatitis.
Reynes, who comes from Mallorca, will return to race with the team at the GP dArgovie after having missed initially the first month of the season due to the prostatitis, but then soon after his first comeback, he was forced off the bike for another six weeks before the doctors would give him the green light to ride again. Now after having trained gradually for three weeks, he is back in the peloton. Only time will tell whether his chronic prostatitis is cured. Taking part in this traditional race in Gippingen, in the Aargau region of Switzerland, will be the first step before testing himself again in a stage race. At the GP dArgovie, Reynes will meet up with many motivated teammates who will be anxious to shine in a race so close to their homes. Among them will be Swiss riders Marcel Aregger, Martin Elmiger, Pirmin Lang and Patrick Schelling.
Grand Prix d’Argovie 181,5 km
