“Today we had a similar stage as yesterday, as expected.
Almost no wind to talk about it was destined to be a bunch sprint.
As yesterday Pirmin Lang, once again went in the breakaway. At 45km to the finish it looked promising for the 3 man breakaway, but then the wind direction changed a bit and they didn’t have tailwind as expected. That made it much easier for the peloton to reel them in.
For the final we wanted to help Heino, but it was once again very hectic and they had difficulties finding each other.
There was also a crash that involved Kristof Goddaert at a crucial moment which then made it impossible for Heinrich Haussler to have any help from the others.
He got boxed in and couldn’t really participate fully in the sprint.
Tomorrow we’ll try again and should be like today, I fast stage controlled by Omega Pharma Quickstep and a bunch sprint.
We shall see!”
