IAM Cycling
Its already been a year since Marcel Wyss savored what is his most recent victory in the colors of IAM Cycling.
On Saturday, May 4, 2013, the 27 year old rider and native of the Bern region, flew around the last lap of the Tour of Bern to take the victory in front of three of his teammates. Tomorrow, the Swiss German will again be among the favorites for this Swiss classic that practically runs through Wyss back garden.
We will take on our responsibilities. As IAM Cycling, we will be a marked team at the Tour of Bern. From the beginning, we will set the tone and try not to have someone give us a bad surprise.
The misfortune of a mechanical problem in the final time trial at the Tour of Romandie saw Wyss land in 16th place, and now he dreams of grabbing a victory on his 25th race day of the year.
In spite of the crash at the Tour of Romandie, Im in the same shape that I was last year. I decompressed a little after a hard week, but I am ready for this race, which is so close to my heart. Not only that, but we have a great team, which, I think, is even better than last year. We have leaders who keep improving in their roles, and we manage to grow together as a group at every event. Personally, I lost two kilos, which has reduced a bit of my explosiveness, but my endurance has increased. Now I have to work at finding that punch I lost when I shed the weight.
