IAM Cycling
IAM Cycling is entering the final stretch of its 2014 season, and will be lining up on two separate fronts. The first front attacks a week of Italian racing that always culminates with the Tour of Lombardy. To kick things off, the eight riders of the Swiss Pro Continental team will tackle the semi-classic Milan-Turin, which finishes in the hills above Turin, the capital of the Piedmont region.
Johann Tschopp, who was prevented due to illness from racing on his favorite terrain in the mountainous stages of the Tour of Spain, is happy now to be rejoining the peloton.
I recovered well and, above all, I managed to train in the best possible conditions since my home region has had very good weather. With Jonathan Fumeaux and Sébastien Reichenbach, who will also be racing in Italy, we have a team well-prepared for these appointments. Personally, these are two races that I like very much; I am ready and motivated already for Milan-Turin. We must remain attentive during the initial portion of the race to be present if a big breakaway forms. Otherwise, the meat of the race plays out in the final two laps and one must go à bloc on the last climb.
