IAM Cycling
I am very happy to line up for both races, even if I know the legs will sting a little.
Kevin Ista will be welcomed back to IAM Cycling this weekend in Brittany.
Seriously injured with a fractured elbow and dislocated collar bone after his fall in the first stage of the Tour of the Mediterranean (6 February), the Belgian rider will line up with the team at the start of the GP de Plumelec (Saturday 25 May) and the Boucles de lAulne (Sunday 26 May).
It has been almost four months since I raced, and I am looking forward to the pace of competition even if it will not be easy. I was forced to stop seriously training for ten days in early May because I had developed tendinitis in my knee. My main goal now at the start will be to finish the races. I am definitely a little nervous, but I have to start sometime. I will not try to fudge any efforts, and will feel a great satisfaction if I can manage to make it to the finish line. Then I can start thinking about performing at the GP dArgovie, which will take place ten days later.
It should also be noted that Aleksejs Saramotins will return to racing this weekend after having suffered an incomplete fracture of his left scaphoid at the Paris-Roubaix (April 7).
