After falling heavily in the first sector of cobbles during Sundays Paris-Roubaix, Aleksejs Saramotins suffered a fractured left scaphoid.
The diagnosis was confirmed after the specialists at the Geneva’s University Hospital (HUG) examined the Latvian champion.
Aleksejs will have to wear a special splint to aid in the healing process and will not be allowed to race for four weeks, though he will still be able to train.
IAM Cycling wishes him a fast and good recovery and looks forward to see him back on the saddle, even stronger than before!
