IAM Cycling’s strong performances at the Tour of Norway have whetted their appetite.

Starting Wednesday and running through Sunday, seven riders will have their chance to show the IAM Cycling colors all over the roads of Bavaria.

Having had several strong performances during his cobbled classics campaign, Heinrich Haussler will be making his return to racing with a hunger to shine in the sprints.

Kjell Carlström will join Marcello Albasini as a directeur sportif for the team during this race, which is followed by a large audience; Albasini recognizes it is a great opportunity for the guys to shine on a big stage.

“The course is varied with an individual time trial over 30 kilometers long.  We are not going to Bavaria for simple training, on the contrary.  Thomas Löfkvist will be making his return to racing after having broken his index finger.  And he will be there to ramp up his form in time for the Tour of Switzerland.  He will have his good chances to do something special, along with Marcel Wyss, who recently won the Tour of Bern.  We have not yet decided who will be the leader of the team and who will be protected riders.  What we are sure is that this will be Patrick Schelling’s big chance to show what he can do.  He will certainly try to do something special during the five days.  And in view of the excellent form he displayed at the recent altitude training camp we had around Bernina, he has the physical tools to succeed.”
