Aleksejs Saramotins is able to resume his training and racing activities.
The Medical statement from the Geneva University Hospital (HUG) is happily unequivocal.
Having taken a heavy fall on April 7th while racing over the first cobbled section of Paris-Roubaix, Aleksejs Saramotins suffered an incomplete fracture of his scaphoid.
A CT scan has shown the bone is mending properly. According to Team Manager Serge Beucherie, the Latvian champion, who also placed an excellent 5th at the Strade Bianche in early March, will join his teammates to train at altitude next week around the Bernina Pass.
After that, he will rejoin the peloton at the GP de Plumelec on Saturday, May 25th.
