Being a new father for a month now, Pirmin Lang cannot rest for too long when at home.  The Swiss-German rider on the IAM Cycling team is schedule to race back to back till the end of the season, but has no complaints.

“I am very motivated by all that has happened.  Last week we had two really good strikes with the Tours of Jura and Doubs, where Brändle and Saramotins won.  All the guys are giving 100% to try and win races, without exception.  And it really gives us a boost to be able to finish the 2013 season in style.”

Hired as a neo-pro to join this IAM Cycling adventure, Lang is delighted to be signed up for another year with the Swiss team.

It’s also what gives him the motivation to look to giving his all with his teammates on Saturday at the GP Costa Degli Etruschi.

“This race used to be scheduled in the spring and so was typically reserved for the sprinters.  Then the organizers obtained a fall date and consequently decided to add a bit of spice to the route to increase the difficulty.  They provide two laps of 30 kilometer circuit with a climb near the end, before arriving by the sea in Donoratico.  Even though I am admittedly a bit tired after the efforts of last weekend, I will not hold anything back.  If I have the opportunity to jump into a breakaway, I will grab my chances.  This is the only option to consider if I want the hope of securing a victory in the finale, since I can hardly count on my sprint to win me the day.”
